I don't think this would be either safe or legal to do. I would strongly recommend against it.
====================
In most jurisdictions, towing two trailers is illegal. Some exceptions are made for the Big Rigs.
While I am not an expert in the law in every state,, I do know that you can tow more then one vehicle behind another, as long as you have the "doubles and triples" endorsement on your licence, but remember, to do this, always keep the heaviest vehicle in front of the other, and it would be best not to look in your mirrors, because the way they whip back and forth, will scare the hell out of you..LOL, spoken from personal experience, because I drive the big rigs..
It is a slang term for a Combination Vehicle meaning it is not a full truck just a partial until it is hooked to a trailer. It actually is a tractor and trailer combination.
this is a standard trailer pulled behind a tractor truck wiyj8 wheels at the back of the unit
If you mean hooking a small trailer behind a bigger trailer behind your truck, no. You can only triple-tow in certain states and provinces and only if the first trailer is a fifth wheel.
behind the drivers side headlight it only has one bolt and a wire hooked to it
I would have to say no. I have a tractor that is insured the only thing that is insured is just that the tractor (fire theft etc). Although You can get your trailer insured just as you can an ATV horse trailer car truck if you had a policy for it. your tractor insurance will not help with the trailer.
You see these in the oil and gas exploration industries quite a bit. There's a large winch mounted behind the cab, and the trailer will be a type which can be dropped and slopes forward as it sits on the ground. Then the winch truck backs up behind the rear of the trailer, and uses the winch to pull the cargo onto the trailer. Once the cargo is secured, then the truck uses the winch to lift up the front end of the trailer in order to be able to get back under it.
If the truck and trailer are not equiped with air brakes. If the truck and trailer are not comercial vehicals.
No you do not need a CDL for this. You will need to have a license plate and registration for the trailer along with opperating tail and brake lights.
It means Special Trailer Service. It is not to be used on motor vehicles. It is for boat, utilily, or trailers.
What truck.
Hitch the trailer. Connect the lights. Start your car or truck. Turn the turn signal on. Get out and go behind the trailer. See if they blink. Repeat for the other side.
A box truck is a truck with a box attached to the chassis behind the cab. Think "U-Haul", "Penske", etc. A bobtail truck is a truck-tractor, also known as a prime mover, which uses a fifth-wheel hitch to tow a semi-trailer. Think of an 18-wheeler without the trailer attached.
