80 /90 gear oil but I am having trouble finding where to add as others are. The hydrostatic drive transmissions might take 80/90, but the manual 5/6 speed transmissions take Bentonite Grease. Try Peerless/Tecumseh part# 788067B. There are no fill or drain plugs. You split the case open. The grease is similar in consistency to wheel bearing grease, but is high-temp, water resistant, extreme pressure grease.
