It is better you go to the money changer as the rates the shop will offer would be a lot lower (for you) as compared to those at the money changer. Also, just for your information, all shops will accept Brunei dollars as the value of the Brunei dollar is exactly of the value of Singapore dollar (they are and can be interchangeable except you cannot get Brunei dollars from Singapore money exchangers)
