as a pool professional in NC, you can use dish detergent vs. a expensive pool detergent like filter magic. Lemon Joy works best but no more than a teaspoon for one dosage. put in the pump, turn to backwash, be sure to rinse good, and back to filter. it make take several dosages but it works just as good. You may see a little foam or bubbles coming from the return lines but it wont last for long.
