Yes. If you have a pickup with a standars trans & a 302 engine & the engine goes bad, you can replace it with several enginesm such as a 6 cylinder 300 CID or any that will fit under the hood. You will likely need to change motor mounts or even move them, or stick a 302 from a Torino ( or whatever car has a 302). If you are running a standard, look into the High Torque cam. They'll deliver more torque & higher MPG. You'll just need to put a flywheel on that is for a clutch &

make sure the crankshaft will take a throwout bearing.
Wow. Wrong, wrong, wrong! The crankshaft, and the throw out bearing have nothing to do with each other. I don't know why he is talking about the camshaft, which operates the valvetrain in the motor. And, he is talking Ford. Now Ford changes EVERYTHING about every couple of years, so bell housings and such, are a pain. If this is a Ford, get the trans with the motor. Chevy, and mopar, no problem. Untill you get into the Hemi stuff for Mopar. You will not have to modify the motor mount situation. Yhere is a little thing called a pilot bearing/bushing that goes in the end of the crankshaft to support the input shaft of the manual trans. If the motor came from a automatic, and you want to put it in a car with a manual, you will have to ad this. The other way around, it wont bother the torque converter, so I would not worry about it. However, you may run into smog laws, so check your state. **************************************************************************
Most cars this is not a problem, the engines are identical.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION because its more powerful and quicker then a automatic. Your muscle car will not have muscle without a manual transmission
A parts car like yours with an automatic transmission.
In manual transmission you have to manually switch gears in your car's gearbox. This is done by usings clutch pedal and gearstick. Car with manual transmission is much more responsive to you're driving and is considered far superior to automatic transmission.
Manual control means that it is controlled by humans, and automatic is it will work on its own. An example is a car's transmission. With manual transmission, you have to tell the car what gear to use. With automatic transmission, the car figures out what gear to use on its own by monitering factors such as RPM.
If you shift manually, you have a manual transmission. If your car shifts for you, you have an automatic.
Most have manual transmissions. An automatic transmission may be offered as an option.
of course you can!
yes it is
You are going to have to provide a lot more information before anyone can help you. What kind of car or truck is it? does it have a 4,6 or 8 cylinder motor? Is it automatic or manual transmission?
A manual transmission on a car is one that you control yourself via a stick shift. An automatic transmission is one that the car controls, based on your speed and incline.
yes you can all you need to do is switch the automatic flywheel and putt on a standard flywheel and make sure the clutch from the transmission will bolt up to the flywheel.
