Ethanol has two main uses. People drink it to become intoxicated (mildly or severely), and it can be added to gasoline to make a fuel called gasohol. It can also be used as rubbing alcohol although isopropyl alcohol is preferred if only because it is not drinkable.
Ethanol (Alcohol)
Yes
Isopropyl? There isn't such compound. Maybe isopropanol ? It is an alcohol and it really burns. But there are cheaper materials to use as a fuel and they are way more fit for that.
Additives containing isopropyl alcohol will bind to the water and evaporate.
While diesel engines do use fuel with the highest percentage of ethanol (Grain alcohol), they do not use 100% ethanol.
Ethanol is alcohol made from corn/sugar cane, etc. it is the same alcohol you drink. Cars that run on ethanol, have different fuel lines, injectors, ECU programming since ethanol runs at a different ai/fuel ratio than gasoline.
alcohol, methelated spirits, ethanol
Yes, in many places you can buy Ethanol, a combination of gasoline and alcohol at the pump.
You can not put E85 Ethanol fuel into a car not designed for itas the Ethanol fuel (ethyl alcohol), {the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages} will destroy the fuel system ( "O" rings , lines, ect...)
It is ethanol fuelSugarcane ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel produced by the fermentation of sugarcane juice and molasses.Because it is a clean, affordable and low-carbon bio-fuel, sugarcane ethanol has emerged as a leading renewable fuel for the transportation sector.
Hi yes Hydrogen peroxide and Isopropyl alcohol can be added together as fuel and work really good for rockets, so unless your discovery is rocket propelled. I wouldn't use it, otherwise go ahead. Harrie
