You can, but not at all shops. You shouldn't have any problem using it at most ATMs though. Maestro cards are not issued in the US, therefore a lot of shops don't have the facility to accept them. The best bet is to take a VISA or MasterCard as well, just in case. Also get set up for telephone banking in case you have problems with your card whilst you're there!
NatWest Maestro cards were recently acquired and replaced by Visa cards. They would be accepted anywhere Visa cards are accepted.
If like me you have a natwest card with no issue number you then just enter 0 or 00 or 000 depending on the site, natwest will pick up on this and ask you to enter some details from your card , they will then give you a username and you enter a passward you would like to use. This is what happend when I ordered some things from a website.
Yes. I just did.
You can use any card with a Linx maestro or laser on it
No. I think, only Visa and MasterCard are accepted there.
I have a Maestro debit card issued by the Credit Suisse bank, and when I was in the USA a year ago, the card worked in some stores but not in others. And unfortunately, I have no way of knowing WHY some stores accept it and others do not. But as for using it at an ATM machine there in the US, you can only use it if the Maestro symbol is on the ATM machine, and this usually is the case only if the ATM machine is at a large national bank that has multiple locations (and not at a small bank with only one location).
my maestro was my teacher
Not all Maestro cards have an issue number. Normally if no issue number is available, leave this section of the form blank and instead fill in the portion of the form that asks for a "card start date" or similar. This information should be printed on the front of the card (saying VALID FROM). For further information on the use of Maestro cards, please see the related link to their international website.
An example of using maestro in a sentence would be, 'He was a maestro of the arts and was hired because of this. ' Maestro is also used frequently with wine.

The Barclay's credit card should have a visa, mastercard, or some other card issuer logo. If it has a visa or mastercard logo, it will be accepted anywhere credit cards are accepted. If it has other logos such as Maestro, then you will have to check every merchant that you plan to use your card at to see whether they accept it.
