Needs to be rebalanced for the 360 and run it.
For all the AMC / Jeep straight sixes from the 1960's and 70's, the original plug was the Champion N12Y. If the car was used mostly for short trips, we would put in a little bit "hotter" plug, N14Y.
It mostly depends on the vehicle it is being swapped in. If the vehicle had a V8 option from the factory, then it can be a very straight forward swap. If you are trying to do this in an Eagle, it'll be a bit more trouble. The motor mounts are different between the I6's and the V8's. But, if you drill an additional hole in the passenger side (IIRC) motor mount you can use the I6 mounts. Now you'll need the proper flywheel or flex-plate to go with the 360 as it is an externally balanced engine. The rest should all relatively bolt-up. If you have difficulty sourcing the proper flywheel or flex-plate, take the original I6 one to your machine shop and have it balanced for the 360ci specs.(232ci &258ci I6 engines are neutrally balanced flywheels and make for good blanks) Hoped this helped. BTW, I personally swapped a 360 into my CJ7 and it was real easy swap.

I work at the AMC theater and no u cannot use you're AMC gift card on a other theater sorry
well the engines are nothing alike. you should be able to look and tell. do you have a pic of it? no parts will be able to swap from one to the other so use a pair of vavle covers or something and try to put them on it. THE AMC ENGINE HAS 360 WELDED UNDER THE PORT (LEFT) SIDE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AMC engines from that era will have a 7-digit part number starting with 319 or 323 or the like molded into the various castings. The 360 would most likely have 3195528 cast into the sides of the block near the "360." Older Fords have have part numbers made up of letters and digits.

The channel that AMC is on depends on a few factors. Channel lineups are determined by the city in which one resides and the cable company they use.
You have to use the flywheel for the 1974 engine and the clutch plate for the Trans Am.
The song for the September AMC commercial is called "Use What I Got." The song is performed by vocal artist Lucy Woodward.
A small flywheel needs to stay with the starter that goes to it. You can use either flywheel, and the block should be drilled for either starter.
To remove the flywheel on a 1998 Fat Boy Harley, you will need a flywheel puller and some basic tools. Here's what to do: Make sure the bike is in Neutral. Disconnect the wires from the primary cover. Remove the primary cover. Remove the bolts holding the flywheel down. Use the flywheel puller to remove the flywheel from the crankshaft.Once the flywheel has been removed, you can now replace it with a new one. Make sure to use the same bolts to secure the flywheel to the crankshaft, and reconnect the wires to the primary cover.
No. Flywheel required.
