This is not a common belief in historical Christianity, but there are passages that suggest it may be possible. Isaiah 66:22 speaks of "the new heavens and the new earth" that God will make, then He says in verse 24, "And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."
In Luke 16:19-31, the parable of the rich man and Lazarus seems to indicate this is possible as well. Verses 22-23 say, "The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side." Abraham is able to see and speak with the rich man, and says to the rich man, "And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.'" This occurred before the creation of the new earth (final heaven/hell), but could apply to this question.
Some have suggested that everyone will be together, but some will just have a bad experience (hell) and for some it will be great (heaven). This is clearly not biblical as there are many verses that make the division between the two very clear. 2 Thessalonians 1:9 is just one example: "They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might". Also see Revelation 20-21.
No you can't go to heaven from hell. Once you are in hell you are stuck there.
Well no one's ever been to heaven and back but if you can look down on the Earth I have a feeling you can look down further I look forward to seeing you in heaven.
According to Judaism, the answer is not necessarily "no." Some souls, once they've been cleansed (or punished), are deserving of reward for the good that they did.
It was St. Thomas Aquinas who said that those in heaven would look down on those in hell and be more glad for their suffering.
They are for it.
To Heaven from Hell was created in 1997.
You can in heaven but not in hell
Hell is a concept in the Christian and Islamic religions, but not in Judaism. For Christians and Muslims, the unsaved do burn in hell forever. Jews believe that they merely lose out from going to heaven. Another point of view is that neither heaven nor hell is real. Hell is therefore not an eternal place and there is no punishment in the afterlife.
hindus reincarnate by commiting crime or leading a good life by going to hell or heaven
yes, heaven, hell, and God is real
Yes, Christians believe in heaven and hell.
Hell is real and people go there for not accepting christ into their heart ANSWER Hell is not a place of burning unto destruction but instead a place of everlasting torment. You don't just cease to exist there.
You really only have three choices:You must believe that God made heaven and hell - the Christian and Islamic views; You must believe that God made heaven but that hell does not really exist - the Judaic view;Neither heaven nor hell exists; they are just fairytales invented by religion - the atheist view.If the first of these choices seems inconceivable, then you are forced to consider each of the other alternatives.
The pope has reaffirmed that both Heaven and Hell do exist.
You can only die on earth, and neither in heaven nor hell, because in hell, you have to endure eternal fire, while in heaven, eternal life.
