Yes, you can make a hole in a single 8 x 11 sheet that is big enough for anyone to walk through. What you will do is turn the sheet into a very long, thin strip that makes a loop. If you are careful, you can do this without using any tape to form the loop.
Begin by making a hole very close to the edge, about 1/3 inch or 1 cm in, and making a long cut the same distance in from the edge. Stop before you reach the end of the sheet, turn sideways and cut similarly close to this paper edge, almost to the other side. Now you have a long L-shaped cut that forms a narrow strip along two sides outside the cut. From this point you will cut the remaining large part of the sheet. Go to the outside near the end of the L-cut, move about 1/3 inch along the uncut portion, and cut in from the outside, parallel to your existing cut. This is extending your long strip. Stop before you reach your original cut. Start a new cut from that cut about 1/3 inch along, head back toward the outside of the sheet. Stop before you get there.
You can see that if you continue to make alternating cuts from the outside, then from the inside cut, you turn your whole sheet into a long strip and the hole becomes increasingly large. Soon you can let it dangle and walk through.

Depends on the sheet. A standard sized sheet of typing/printer/copier paper is 11 inches by 8.5 inches.
Exactly 11 inches
11 Inches
An A4 sheet measures 210 x 297 mm. An A4 sheet of paper is the more common business and school size paper in most of the world, including Europe, whereas the 8½ x 11 inch sheet of paper is the more common business size in the USA. A4 is a little taller and narrower than a US 8½ by 11 inch sheet.
8 sheets of 8.5" x 11" paper can be cut from a 23" x 35" parent sheet.

exactly 11 inches long
8 x 10 is a standard size of paper for photography purposes, but the standard US size for printing paper (letter size) is 8.5 x 11. The standard paper in many other countries of the world is A4 (210mm × 297mm or 8.3in × 11.7in).
If the paper is in inches then 11 times 14 = 154 square inches
A regular white printer sheet of paper is 8.5 inches by 11 inches (8.5" X 11")
88 square inches.
A standard A4 sheet of paper is 21.0 x 29.7 cm, for a total area of 623.7 sq cm. A US standard A-size sheet of paper is 8.5 x 11 inches, which is 21.59 x 27.94 cm, for a total area of 603.2246 sq cm.
