If you are thinking of Ceramic or porcelain tile the quick answer is NO!!
The moisture in the adhesive/thin set will likely make the wallpaper release at the worst possible time. It needs to come off & the substrate needs roughed up a bit to give the thin set something to mechanically bond to.
If this is a wet area like a shower or tub surround DRYWALL is a NO NO too, should be green board.
Yes, you can install wallpaper over porcelain tiles, but it's essential to prepare the surface first. Clean the tiles thoroughly to remove any grease or dirt, and use a primer designed for smooth surfaces to help the wallpaper adhere better. Additionally, consider using a heavy-duty adhesive or wallpaper specifically designed for challenging surfaces to ensure a secure application. Keep in mind that the texture and grout lines of the tiles may affect the final appearance.
It depends on how you intend to install the plastic tiles. If you are going to mechanically fasten them, say with screws or nails, then go for it. If you are going to glue them, then never a good idea. I would remove the wallpaper. It's time consuming and can be a mess, but ultimately I would sleep better knowing my tiles aren't going to fall off the wall.
For what? Tiles, cloth, painting or wallpaper...
I wouldn't .
yes but consider the possibility of tiles coming off with paper...mortar or adhesive chemical reaction could cause seperation bubbles between wallboard and wallpaper
Yes you can place a vinyl wallpaper over and over, but it will not be long lasting.
