NFL players usually wear a hard cast, if they are able to play with a broken bone. The hardness of the cast protects them from further injury.
Have a friend do it for you, or wear clothing that doesn't require this. However, it can be done ... takes extreme dexterity and practice. Use the other arm.
The reason you have to wear a cast is because you need your limb or body part to be still while it heals, or else it will heal slowly, and painfully. So if you always complain that you have to wear a stupid, itchy, hard, dumb cast around your arm, well, i`d say it`s worth it!
Etiquette does not dictate which arm to wear a watch. This is mostly a matter of preference but most people find it comfortable to wear it on the left arm.
