No you cannot apply to the job if your not properly certified. A cna has peoples health in there hands and need to have the proper training to perform their jobs. Go to a medical training place or college to get the training you need. The company will not even consider you if your not certified because of possible law suits if you injury someone..

It really depends on the state licensing boards. Like in Florida, the Florida Board of Nursing requires that you be 18 to sit for the CNA exam. I believe all states have this rule, to be sure contact your state licensing board.

NOTE: This does not mean you have to be 18 to take the required courses to become a CNA. Most places require you be 18, however, if you high school offers the course you usually dont have to be 18 to take the courses (In Florida those would be Health Science I, II, and Allied Health III) any questions about your school courses should be directed to your school guidance counselor.

The laws and regulations regarding the minimum age for working in a nursing home vary by country and state. In the United States, most states have laws that set a minimum age of 18 for working in a nursing home, although some states may allow 16 or 17-year-olds to work in certain roles with special conditions.

If you are 17 and interested in working in a nursing home, it's best to check with the specific nursing home and your state's labor laws to find out what the minimum age requirement is.

It's also important to note that even if you meet the minimum age requirement, you may still need to complete additional training and certifications before you can begin working in a nursing home. Additionally, some nursing homes may require employees to have a certain level of education, experience or pass a background check.

In any case, working in a nursing home can be a rewarding experience, but it also requires a lot of patience, compassion and responsibility. It's important to consider whether you are prepared for the physical and emotional demands of the job before making a decision.
