Yes because even if you use the pull out method, there is still "pre-cum" that could be inside of you. Although it is good to thoroughly clean your vagina after sex, you're not going to get everything out therefore there is still a chance. It is important to go to the bathroom both before but especially after you have sex to avoid getting a uti or other infections. You'll probably notice that some sperm will leak out of you as you urinate but remember, if there is penetration, there's a chance you'll become pregnant. I wont bore you by preaching that "abstinence is the only thing that is 100% effective" because although it is true, it's not going to stop people from having sex so I feel that honesty is a better approach. I personally take the pill (at the same time EVERDAY!!!) because doing so makes it more effective. I have a friend who took it everyday, but not at the same time just whenever she remembered. She just had her first child last month.... Another thing that I wish someone would have told me about is the morning after pill. It can be taken up to 72 hours after you've had sex. (The sooner you take it the more effective it will be) You can get both from your OB or from planned parenthood. The morning after pill (plan B) is around 35.00 but if you can't afford it you can go to planned parenthood and get that, Birth Control and condoms and although they do accept donations, you don't have to pay anything that you can't afford. I know that is a lot more than what you asked about but I none the less =)

∙ 15y agoOh yes cleaning AFTER sex is way too late to wonder if she is pregnant or not, if you want to avoid pregnancy read up on the subject before you have sex, an unwanted pregnancy is not fun. Wise up - Take Care.
