Yes! Anything that has fur can get fleas from something else!
Cat owners that keep their cats inside still need to be concerned about their indoor cats carrying bugs. Fleas seem to be a common issue for indoor cats.
Yes, it is recommended to keep fleas off your cat year round even if you dont see any fleas
No, bird fleas cannot get into cats. There are different kinds of fleas.
Yes they can. My cat was just diagnosed with lymes and he is an indoor cat which I take outside sometimes on a leash. It started with him walking stiff like and now he is limping. Even if your cat is an indoor cat, it is worth testing your pet if they have any of the symptoms.
Breeders often keep very valuable animals and don't want them picking up fleas or diseases from being outside. They could pass on a disease to their kittens and the breeder wouldn't make any money. The treatment would have to be paid for or if it is a serious condition, the kittens may not be saleable.
Indoor cats usually live longer than outdoor cats because outside cats are able to get more diseases, rabies, or hurt/killed by another animal. Indoor cats are less likely to get diseases or get rabies, which is why it is incredibly important to vaccinate your cat when required, especially when it is allowed to be outside. Outdoor cats are also at risk of being hit by cars. A cat cannot outrun a car, and such incidents are very common.
I do not have fleas, but it is possible for humans to fleas. Usually though fleas stick to dogs and cats etc.
when the cats are near each other the fleas jump to the other cat =]
No..................................................................
domestic cats
Cats do sometimes go outside to die,its because they like to be alone to do so, so going outside is a way they can find somewhere to be alone.
He could have gotten it from a small animal that he found or if he was outside even once he could have gotten them. sometimes they can get it if they got into a garbage can. i suggest you go to a vet to see if he has parasites.
