My guess is that it all goes to the contract you have with your employer. If you requested a vacation day and it was approved, they should pay you with vacation time. If you just missed a day without approval, they can choose not to pay you. But this is all speculative. Read your contract/employee handbook.
Vacation pay is whatever the employer policy says it is, but employer must follow its published policy.
No, an employer in Florida does not have to pay accrued vacation time when you quit. That is if it in the company policy, it is not mandatory.
Under "normal" employment termination curcumstances, this question depends entirely on the state in which you work in. Different states have different regulations which will contribute to the outcome of your earned vacation pay. In many states, employers are required by law to pay an employee accrued vacation time, regardless of whether you quit, or are fired. Your "earned" vacation time is looked upon exactly as that - "EARNED", so it is considered a payable and taxable. There are states however where there are no provisions, and the outcome of whether you receive pay for accrued time is entirely up to your employer. In a case such as this, you have to consider the following factors: * Does the state require pay for unused vacation time at all (some states just simply do not require this)? * Was there an agreement which entitles the employee to be paid for accrued time off? * Was there an agreement which DOES NOT entitle the employee to be paid for accrued time off? * What is listed in the employee handbook? -HR Monkey-
Uranus can get fired.
Do you work for an employer covered by a Union Contract? If yes, see contract. If no, it is up to your employer and their personnel policies.
if you were eligable to get a paid vacation and were denied I would go to the labour board and they can make the employer pay you the money for your vacation and damages even if you quit make sure to bring all records you have with you, when you started, how much you were paid ,all paystubs you have, and time and dates of when you asked for vacation who you talked to, and write down exactly what they said, and when you qiut they will need all this information
No, its your job if you want to quit then quit but no-one can force you.
Yes, you are entitled to your vacation pay, but not your sick pay. If you owe vacation time, the amount of money you owe will be taken out of your last paycheck. Whether to pay unused vacation is the employer's discretion. Paid leave is unregulated.
When you quit or get fired.
If you committed a crime.
yes the employer can hired you back IF YOU AGREE
No.
The employer can revise job duties at will - absent a union contract prohibiting that. But no employer can compel you to work. You are free to quit ans find a better deal. That is called employment at will - you are free to quit with no notice or explanation; the employer can fire you with no notice or explanation.
