NO NO NO!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! the male will eat the newborns and you will be getting ready to go to a funeral! PLEASE put cardboard between the adult male and the female with newborns. Make sure to feed her a TINY bit extra if she is nursing.
P.S. And exchange the cardboard with wood if he starts to nibble through the cardboard!!!

They will probably fight. However, a dwarf hamster male can stay in the cage with the female. He can help raise the babies.

A hamster can have babies by (being a boy\girl) placing another hamster of the opposite sex into the same cage. This might also result in them fighting, which in that case.....you can either put up with them and assume the feeling is mutual, or you can remove the female\male from the cage. Make sure if the female does get impregnated that she stays healthy, watered, and well-fed, and when she gives birth to her hamster babies she doesn't eat them (which hamsters WILL do.) Hamsters aren't supposed to share cages if there syrians(dwarf hamsters can share a cage very happily). Your hamsters could kill eachother; hamster's nature is to roam alone. However, if you have one male hamster, and one female hamster, this may not apply, as the female can, well, you know, with the male and before you know it.... pop goes the BABIES. Be prepared.
