Yes, but it's not really recommended. Both are very similar as they are both atypical antipsychotics typically prescribed for Bipolar disorder (with other uses to treat depression, various panic disorders, and other off-label uses).
I wouldn't advise taking the two together unless your psychiatrist says otherwise since they are both essentially identical in their effects. The biggest difference is that zyprexa lasts at least 24 hours, while seroquel only lasts 6-8 hours. If you don't have a tolerence to either one of the drugs, then I would strongly advise against taking the two together since it will knock you out.... hard.
A definite yes. I was just prescribed seroquel on top of my existing zyprexa prescription.
Seroquel ( Quetiapine) and Zyprexa (Olanzapine) are both Antipsychotics but Zyprexa is also an antimanic. Zyprexa is indicated for the treatment of bipolar disorder where as Seroquel is not.
I have taken Seroquel with Ambien many times. They work well together for those nights I just can't get to sleep.
The drugs in this group are clozapine (Clozaril), loxapine (Loxitane), olanzapine (Zyprexa), and quetiapine (Seroquel).
ADHA Be careful with that combination That could/will make you very sluggish
abilify ,clozaril, depakote, geodon ,lamictal, lithium, risperdal, seroquel ,trileptal ,wellbutrin XL ,and zyprexa
Valium and Flexeril should not be combined. Other drugs may be taken together if your psychiatrist and cardiologist think that they can be taken together.
Yes, but as both meds are highly sedative, you will feel very sleepy, at least in the beginning.
Yes.
i guess
I strongly suggestt hat you do not take Zyprexa. I took it and had HORRIBLE side effects. I am sure it can be different for some but two of my friends were on it and we all experienced severe weight gain (20 lbs in 2 weeks) and extreeme fatigue. I took Lexapro and Zyprexa together along with Colonipin. Not a great mix. Make sure you check with your Dr before taking anything. Medication can be very dangerous if not taken properly
vyvanse in the morning and seroquel at night
no i did it and ended up in hospital with slowed breathing and chest pain
