This isn't a good thing. Althou the tranny could last a long time more, it sounds like your tranny is telling you that its on it last leg. You can try by replacing the tranny fluid filter, but this could also make the problems worse. It may be more cost effective to install a remote starter feature, this way you press a button on your key chain, the tranny warms out, and you never had to leave the house. At least until you get the proper repair fixed.
