What are the causes of deforestration?

There are many causes for deforestation in our current culture/climate. Some of the major causes include population growth, over population, urbanization and factory farming. The forests end up getting removed either to supply paper products, fossil fuels, or to make room for people or animals to raise for food. When the land is not resupplied with the same number of trees that have been removed, we end up with a net loss of forest. (One can never replace the original environment and a great deal of biodiversity is lost every time a forest is destroyed, even when replaced with similar plants.)

What are the effects of the deforestration?

Animals lose their homes meaning they have to find a new home/ or they lose food because certain animals have lost their homes thus causing animals to become endangered or extinctions.
