On the edge of the door there'll be a thick bunch of wires with a plug on the end. Unplug from the door, peel back the rubber cover and chances are you'll find that one of the wires has broken. I had this with the drivers door, one wire was broken so I soldered and covered it with insulation tape and the door locked again. It appears that sometimes simply opening and closing the door can cause problems.
why is this a big problem in these kind of cars. Need to sort this out please help me.
Have you checked the central locking fuse (should be in the car, not engine bay) that would be linked to the immobilizer but if the car starts while the Central locking doesn't then changing the fuse might solve the problem.
it should be in the same spot as the other fuses, but if u have a problem with your central locking you may just need to clean and lube the central locking units to get them working properly. My central locking on my 95 ef station wagon wouldn't work till i cleaned and used a bit of WD40 on the tail gate central locking unit and its been great ever since it should be in the same spot as the other fuses, but if u have a problem with your central locking you may just need to clean and lube the central locking units to get them working properly. My 2002 Tribute has the same problem, caused by central locking motor failure in the back hatch.
HAVE A LOOK AT THIS SITE, IT EXPLAINS HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM... http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1542461
The central problem of any economic organization is how to provide a high SOL (standard of living) for all of its members.the central problem of modern economics is scarcity.
I have had this problem. The central locking system checks that all of the doors are closed when it is activated. So it has a loop of wires that goes through all the doors (when the doors are closed the loop is complete and the central locking stays locked) What is happening is, some of the wires in the loop have snapped, his happens in the doors, (if you look in the door when it is open, on the hinge side, you will see a black rubber tube that contains the wiring). All of the door wiring will need to be checked and broken wires repaired - this should solve the problem.
What is the central economic problem
Have you checked the wiring loom where it passes through the door post into the door. I had a similar problem with central locking, a wire had broken after several thousand openings and closings of the door
I think that on your VP commodore when you say that the central locking is not working that the problem is with the rear doors, and when this happens the problem is when the solenoid on the door lock assembly has given out,so make sure that all of the wiring to the doors is good, plus the remote is working right then ,if still not working go to the wreckers and get a rear door lock mechanism out of a VS commodore and the newer part should work.
fistly do you know the first digit code ? if not you can get this from Renault dealer and its free.. you own the car you own the code do not no for an answer and don't pay for it .. when you obtain the code follow these steps hold down central locking button in middle of car by the gear stick until the red light stops flashing on the dash then release it ..it will flash again but count the flashes ie if your first code number 7 let it flash 7 times then hold the central locking again and repeat for second code number etc ..when all four numbers are put in the dash board lights will flash rapidly ... at this point turn key off and point it at roof censor .. the central locking will click twice .. put key bk in and your car will start as normal and you wont have this problem again .. the other way is to open your key fob and you will see a 3 digit number.. phone the Renault main office and tell them that number and they will give you the code for the registration number to ure vehicle and follow the steps above ... happy motoring
It migt be a problem with the central computer or more simply by the symptoms you describe I'll go for an alarm sytem problem
