Inside or outside?
No
Had the same problem with drivers door. I removed the door panel and was able to see screws that held the door handle on. I replaced the handle with one from the wreckers. It was not a big job but is tight working inside any door. You may be able to open the door with a screw driver pushed directly in the handle button hole. Don't drop anything in the door or it will have to stay there. My arm was too big to reach down and pick up anything I dropped.
there is a C shaped clip behind the handle. I have the tool to remove it you can get them at auto zone. you can also use a small pick to pull clip out but watch out it will fling out
Try the door handle, it might not be locked.
Yes they are the same.
you need a door from 73 to 87
Pop the door panels. The lock cylinders are just held on with clips.
You need to remove the entire door pannel. There are manuals that show you how to do it.

Per Haynes Repair Manual #36071, 1993-2005 Ford Ranger Pick-ups: On 1998 and later models, the interior door handle is secured by a single rivet that must be drilled out for handle removal. A rivet gun is necesssary to replace the drilled out rivet and to secure the handle in its original position. It is necessary to remove the door trim panel and watersheild for access.
