Hi
You first locate the oil resivour. In the bottom right hand corner is the drain plug unscrew that and let the oil drain. Replace the plug and fill with oil. Be sure to also replace the oil filter
Idon't know about a 1995 Polaris 300 Sportsman, but I have a 2008 Polaris 300 Sportsman and the main particular oil I use for mine is Polaris brand oil. If your not satisfied with my answer, call your Polaris Company.
First service at 50 hours, then at 100 hour intervals.
where is the plug on the 400 4x4 ATV to drain the oil? Isn't the 400 a two stroke? No oil in case.
On my 2002 Sportsman 400 the drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission. It is in the large hole in the bottom of skid plate.
2 quarts.
Yes, as long as you use the correct SAE weight oil. Polaris oil is regular oil.
100 cm
Polaris four stroke oil is a 0-40w synthetic.
2 quarts of oil and I am waiting to find out if 5w-50 is a must for polaris.
You can use the factory oil change package that is about $30 or you can use a 0W-40 oil mobile one makes it and there are a few others.
you would use polaris specified AGL fluid in the transmission
Polaris has its brand of hub oil , which is not cheap . Ford ATF :automatic transmission fluid is recommended if you do not want to pay for Polaris oil .
