its nothing you did there is a seal in the Geo tranys that always shrink and cause problems. go buy some swell and sell and add it to your trany fluid it may help.
have you ever had the transmission filter changed and fluid changed?? Great place to start looking. If you have already checked the fluid level!
Change the fluid and the trans filter; a dirty trans filter can cause this.
Check the fluid level, if that's not it, have the fluid and filter changed.
Check transmission fluid level Change transmission fluid and filter
Check your shift solenoids that are mounted on top of the transmission. Also check your trans fluid. If you haven't had the trans filter changed, get it changed also. NOTE: On almost all year model Accords, the transmission must be taken down and apart to change the trans filter. So if you don't know how to do this, than dont try it.
Have the tranny fluid changed out and replace the filter. Fresh fluid may fix the problem. Especially if it is the original fill from the factory.
Its probably that your tansmission is shot, either that or you havnt changed the transmission fluid and it may be dirty and built up and or the filter hasn't been changed in a while. If you look at the transmission fluid and its not a redish color and its like brown almost a oil color than you will have to bleed it out and refill with fresh transmission fluid.
Check or change transmission fluid and filter
how to replace the light bulb on the gear shift on 2004 tracker
My advice would be to have the transmission fluid and filter changed. If that does not cure the problem then take it to a professional. Avoid chain Transmission shops. Stick with a New car dealer or a trusted independent.
Have you kept up on the filter and fluid changes? Is the fluid low?
Check fluid level May need fluid and filter change May need transmission overhaul
