Frame sizes are different, you will need a gunsmith and money to do this.
12ga guns were all made for 2 3/4 shells. 16ga guns before 1946 (end of WWII) were chambered for 2 9/16 If you have a 1927 16 ga, it will be stamped 2 9/16 on the barrel

I've seen them sell anywhere from 300 to 500 this is avg run of the mill 20/16/12ga good sturdy gun but clunky now the 410 is a different story this gets down to what you are willing to pay sellers have placed a premium on all 410s
