On the right side of the transmission there is a cover where the clutch cable goes in, above the cable, is an allenhead plug. This is the dip stick, the bike must be straight up, not on the jiffy stand, unscrew the Allen plug, and check the stick in the usual way. Use proper primary lube, not engine oil.
I had this problem with my 1994 Bonneville SE. would try checking the transmission fluid level(that was the problem with mine). If the transmission fluid level is where it's supposed to be then it could be that the transmission is going out or you may need to check the torque converter. I think that can also cause the problem.
There is a plug on the side of the transmission for checking/adding lubricant. When adding lubricant, use a syringe or squeeze bottle.
Should be a plug at the side of the transmission- fill to this level
Try Checking in the engine compartment under the hood.
No, dipstick. Fluid level is checked through a plug on the side.
For a 1994 Ford F-150 : The AUTOMATIC transmission fluid level dipstick is in the engine compartment , near the firewall , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment , where the transmission is bolted to the rear of the engine * the manual transmission does not have a dipstick
Remove the dipstick for the transmission. Place funnel in the dipstick hole. Fill to the correct level.
I have a 1993 Cavalier in which I finally figured this out and I am assuming that it is similar to the 1994 location. It is not a plug, but a dipstick about 2 inches long which is located on the driver's side near the rear of the transmission. You must get to it from inside the engine compartment. It is the type that has a handle that locks down by pushing it to the right. Just make sure you put it all the way back in when checking the fluid level. The literature I have on it states: "Check both sides of the dipstick and read the lower level. The fluid level must be between the ADD and FULL marks. (Note: Fluid may appear at the bottom of the dipstick even when the fluid level is several pints low.)"
Through the tube used to check the fluid level.
I have a 1994 Isuzu Trooper and it has issues upshifting at lower speeds. How do I check the fluid level in the transmission when there is no dipstick?
Where do I add transmission fluid to a 1994 Ford explorer with a manual transmission?
The 1994 takes Mercon transmission fluid
