Clonazepam drug test?
Clonazepam will show up on a immunoassay screen. This is now a standard process to check for this drug in a routine drug screening.
It is possible for clonazepam or its major metabolite to be detected 14-28 days from urine drug testing. Even with daily use of the drug many urine screens may not test specifically for clonazepam. Most drug test only test for a couple of common benzodiazepine metabolites and are not specific for clonazepam. However it is possible to detect clonazepam in the urine for up to a month or slightly longer.
Benzodiazepines (such as Xanax / alprazolam and Klonopin / clonazepam) are not part of the standard 5-panel drug screen frequently used for pre-employment type drug screening. The medications can be detected in a more expansive test. It is most likely that the test would identify the drug family (benzodiazepines) in which case alprazolam and clonazepam would test the same.
