The Church of God in Christ is a Pentecostal church, so their worship services are probably much more active than a worship service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church).

Worship services for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are generally very passive. The congregation sits the entire time and participates in prayers, singing hymns, and listening to sermons from their pews or chairs. Sermons are usually assigned to members of the congregation. The sacrament (or communion) is passed to the congregation each Sunday. One Sunday a month, there is no scheduled sermon, and the congregation is invited to bear testimony of Jesus Christ as they are moved by the Spirit. The church buildings are generally very plain and unadorned.

Worship services for Pentecostal churches tend to be much more active. The congregation participates in worship songs (often not traditional hymns) and prayers while standing up. You will probably see many with their hands raised above their heads. Rather than simply standing at a pulpit and speaking, the speaker may walk around and raise his/her voice in order to engage the audience more. Pentecostal services are notorious for people exhibiting the 'signs of the spirit', especially speaking in tongues, during their services.
