All the four main books of the New Testament contain more or less of the life of Christ. The Lords prayer in which ever book it is contained in is but a guide as to how we should pray. It was never to be used word for word as quoted by Christ as is now done in most Christian churches. This makes it a repetitious prayer which is not what Christ wanted. He was saying to the effect that this is how you should compose your prayer. Address your Father in heaven, thank Him for all He has done for you, ask for the things you are in need of then close in the name of Jesus Christ.
