Well BMW has a cool advantage on Audi mainly because of it`s rear wheel drive.Rear wheel drive or rwd is better because it offers better handling of the car in dry conditions.However in rainy or snowy conditions it tends to be tail happy but that is mainly for earlier models <2000.With the adding of DSC or commonly known esp it solved that problem.BMW engines last longer than Audi engines and it`s proven.Also BMW has a cool tactic of improving weight distribution by placing engines as far back as possible under the hood,thus almost matching the handling of mid engined cars.BMW is more reliable than Audi and better apreciated.
