do a pressure test on the cooling system. the pressure will make the leak more apparent. hopefully you'll be able to pinpoint it. as a side note i had a very slow leak that was dripping of my oil pan. i had the cooling sys pressure tested and it ended up being the pulley on the waterpump.
It is towards the rear on the left side of the intake manifold
its the 1 on the exhaust manifold pointing out towards the front of the car. i just replaced it on mine
Standing in front of the car looking at the engine the coolant temp sensor is located on the right hand side of the cylinder head at the back towards the firewall under the inlet manifold.
Standing in the front of the engine, It will be on the bottom left side of the engine towards the rear, Up under the exhaust manifold.
There isn't one; If the coolant level is ok, and the warning light still comes on, you have a defective sensor that needs to be replaced. It is located on the passenger side of the radiator with the wires running back towards the engine. Usually.
Coolant enters the water pump from the lower radiator hose. The water pump pumps coolant into both sides of the engine block towards the rear of the block. Coolant then flows up into the cylinder heads and flows toward the front of the heads before crossing over into the intake manifold and up to the thermostat. Coolant then flows through the thermostat into the upper radiator hose back into the radiator.
Hi, I recently replaced the coolant temperature sensor and thermostat on my '01 GTP. Are you referring to the temp. sensor? If so it's directly below the thermostat on the top of the motor obviously towards the driver's side. take the plastic cover off of the top of the motor and follow the upper raditor house down to the neck on the top of the intake manifold. directly below that is the sensor screwed into the manifold right below the neck (where the thermostat is).
The knock Sensor on a J30 ( I have a 1995 ) is at the rear of the engine in the center , under the intake manifold. Find your EGR valve then it is just below that and towards the center of the engine . It is about 3" to 4" under the manifold. YOu can see it with a mirror and a bright light. I am not sure if it can be replaced with out removing the manifold , All I have read says you have to. I am going to try and do it with out all of that work.
I (think) as you look at the engine it's on the right head towards the front just under the exhaust manifold. You can see it more easily from under the car.
The SENSOR is located towards the fron of the engine on top of the intake manifold. The temp SENDER is located on left side of the engine block near number 1 spark plug.
coolant overflow tank. probably on top left side of engine towards the front.
Take your distributor cap off and its right under your rotor cap towards the firewall(near the back) it has 2 screws holding it down and 3 connectors attached to it,hope this helps, just replaced mine.
