On a 2001 Grand Am it just cost my 850 including parts and labour ==New Answer Headline+ My 2001 Grand Am GT cost $635, installed. Reason for high cost is because the fuel pump is an integral part of the fuel quantity sending unit (the fuel tank float unit) and must be replaced as a unit. The tank has to be removed from the vehicle to accomplish this and is very labor intensive. The unit alone costs over $500.
