Cost to replace a fuel pump on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am?
On a 2001 Grand Am it just cost my 850 including parts and labour ==New Answer Headline+ My 2001 Grand Am GT cost $635, installed. Reason for high cost is because the fuel pump is an integral part of the fuel quantity sending unit (the fuel tank float unit) and must be replaced as a unit. The tank has to be removed from the vehicle to accomplish this and is very labor intensive. The unit alone costs over $500.
You go to the dealership. Take proof of car ownership(registration) and proof of ID (Drivers license) it doesn't cost that much and it can be done there at the dealership in just a few minutes.
