If your dog ate a toad that can definitely be a reaction to the poison that the toad produces. However, this can also be a symptom of many other things (such as Lyme's disease or an infection), and your dog(s) should see a veterinarian. It is the paired parotid glands, vislble as raised sack anterior to the eyes which contain mild toxins in the case of native species of toads. However, in the case of the indroduced marine or cane toad, the toxin is powerful enough to cause seizures or even death if ingested. Symptoms include: drooling, head-shaking, crying, loss of coordination, and, in more serious cases, convulsions.
frogs both solve and cause problems.

It might if the cause is a pollutant in the environment. If so, it could affect humans adversely as well.
