that is so odd. I had brochontis.(I know I might have not spelled that right) for about 3 months I went to the hosp 3 times, finally on the last visit they gave me a z-pack and and inhaler, and pain med's from coughing so much I was so sore. Well that was from nov-jan. Now I get these odd sharp back pains that go into the left side of my chest, shortness of breath, and pain I have to live on ALeve for a week. Thenif I lay on my left side there is a thumping around my heart area, but If I lay flat or on the right side nothing....I also with have a pain if I bend over and when I get out of bed in the morning. ALmost going up my trachea, and a gurggling feeling. I did find something called spontanous pheunomax, but I am not sure if that is what I have or not. If feels like fluid on my lungs also... very strange. ?
For both of you it's time to see the doctor again. Having Pneumonia is serious and can lead to secondary Pneumonia. Pneumonia can cause fluid in the lungs the same as Bronchitis. Both are hard on the body so see a doctor, get medication and take it easy. It's better to go for a walk than run. It's important to keep the lungs clear. When you go to bed prop yourself up on a pillow or two so you aren't laying flat. This will help your breathing and give a clearer passage for air to get to your lungs.
The two main symptoms are shortness of breath and a persistent dry cough that will become worse with pneumonia.
The symptoms range from mild (coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath) to severe and life threatening (severe shortness of breath and difficulty getting enough oxygen).
The main signs of pneumonia are cough, fever, chills, and shortness of breath. You may cough up bloody, greenish, or yellow mucus when you have pneumonia.

Anxiety can cause shortness of breath. It can trigger asthma attacks for asthma sufferers. One of the symptoms of a panic attack is a shortness of breath.

Not being able to take a deep breath is not always considered shortness of breath. If you are exerting yourself, where you need more air but can't take a deep breath, you would have a shortness of breath.
hi, it means Shortness Of Breath.
Roxanol is used for shortness of breath for hospice patients.
Dyspnea is the medical term meaning shortness of breath. "Shortness of breath" is sometimes (disconcertingly) abbreviated in medical charts as "SOB."
