yeah theres a possibilty she can be preg
Birth control pills do not end or harm a pregnancy. If she is pregnant, she should stop taking the pill and contact her health care provider to plan for appropriate prenatal care or to discuss options for abortion. Even after using the pill while pregnant, all options are open to her.
Yes. Plan B does not guarantee that you are not/will not get pregnant. First of all, Plan B only works if taken within 72 hours of the first time you had unprotected sex (and the sooner, the better). So if you took Plan B five days after you had unprotected sex, it will not work. Also, as mentioned before, Plan B does not guarantee that you will not become pregnant (even if taken correctly). Plan B works better the sooner you use it. If it is taken as directed within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex, it can significantly decrease the chance that you will become pregnant. About 7 out of every 8 women who would have gotten pregnant will not become pregnant. Plan B works even better if taken within the first 24 hours after unprotected sex.
OMG YOUR PREGNANT
no. Plan B is very powerful and if you took it immediately afterwards, you will not get pregnant.
You go to the doctor who gives you pills (RU486 or mifepristone). It takes 2 visits. The first pill softens the cervix to let the abortion out and the second one induces cramps, sheds the uterine lining, and expels the embryo. i hope you are not confusing the abortion pill with the "morning after pill/Plan B/Next Step/Yuzpe Method" "the Abortion pill" aka RU486 is NOT available over the counter. You have to go to an ob/gyn's office and get a prescription to get it! If you mean the "morning after pill" aka Plan B. Plan B only works BEFORE you are pregnant. If you are pregnant and you take plan, NOTHING happens. It does not harm the growing fetus, it does NOT stop the pregnancy. It's just a waste of money to take Plan B if you are already pregnant.
Taking birth control if you are pregnant will NOT stop the pregnancy. Birth control does not cause abortion but stops the ovaries from freeing an egg into the falopian tube and the womb. Plan B, or the morning after pill, will stop the fertilised egg from attaching itself to the endometer if taken within a certain amount of time. It has to be taken within 72 hours of the intercourse, however, and its efficacy decreases with the passing of time. Furthermore, taking the pill while pregnant could hurt the baby.
You are probably referring the PLAN B, which is often called the Emergency Pill or Oral Contractive Pill. This is taken when unprotected sex takes place and the fear of pregnancy exists. Plan B are two hormone pills which will trigger a menstrual cycle. You are basically forcing the body to menstruate and therefore prevent pregnancy from occuring. If you are already pregnant, however, PLAN B pills will be ineffective.
Plan B
It could be both. 2 weeks after taking Plan B you always have to take a pregnancy test. Or you need to see a doctor.
That is a side effect. If you are in a country where it is legal, call your doctor or check out side effects on the Planned Parenthood website. If you are in a country where it is not legal, or you don't have a safe abortion provider, go to Women on Web (link below) or Women On Waves (link below) online. i hope you are not confusing the abortion pill (RU486 or mifepristone) with the "morning after pill/Plan B/Next Step/Yuzpe Method" "the Abortion pill" aka RU486 is NOT available over the counter. You have to go to an ob/gyn's office and get a prescription and an ultrasound to get it! If you mean the "morning after pill" aka Plan B. Plan B only works BEFORE you are pregnant. If you are pregnant and you take plan B, NOTHING happens. It does not harm the growing fetus, it does NOT stop the pregnancy. It's just a waste of money to take Plan B if you are already pregnant. Plan B is over the counter for men/women 17 years and older. For those under 17, you can always get a prescription for Plan B and some states let pharmacists give out Plan B to those under 17.
I took plan b one hour after sex and I ended up pregnant. But if you have your period, you're probably ok. Mine wasn't even late yet and I went to the doctors because I felt sick, and that's when I found out that I am pregnant.
