If you are saying the engine starts and runs for 15 seconds and dies and then starts again for another 15 seconds and dies . . . the distributor seems to be doing its job. You might want to check if there is a fuel restriction somewhere (filter or pump).
A bad fuel injector can cause an engine to continue running, for a few seconds, after the engine to shut off. The engine continues to run because of excessive fuel in a piston.

If it's running bad the check engine light should be on. Pull the codes or get it scanned to give you direction of where to begin the diagnostics

That's because the motor still needs to cool so the fan stays on to cool it. I had the same problem with my polaris ATV. If it continues runnig after the engine is cooled then it might be a bad sensor which is typically located on the radiator. Good luck, Drew
