No,, you can install a battery with a higher CCA rating. It is still a 12 volt battery so it will work fine.

Battery size of 1999 Toyota solara sle?

I am not entirely sure. However i recommend using the computers at a store that sells battery or looking it up in your owners manual. I do know however that the battery on my 2001 has 700 cold cranking amps and it is what is recommended. I could find the exact model number and size of that battery later.

Why is the voltage on the battery different than then the measurement on the multimeter?

Because the original voltage of the battery weakens over time after using it for awhile making the voltage less then the original amount stated on the battery.

Why does Ford Expedition start slow?

Presumably you mean slow cranking. Check for weak battery or bad starter. If not slow cranking so much as long cranking time check for loss of fuel pressure overnight using fuel pressure gauge. If so, suspect leaking injector or possibly leaking regulator.

What causes a flat car battery?

Using the electronics (lights, radio, cranking engine but not starting, etc) without charging the battery. If you charge your battery, the car starts and runs, but goes flat in a short amount of time, it's possible your alternator is not working properly.

How long is a car battery supposed to last?

Car batteries should last for a few years at least. There are factors that affect battery life such as alternator, humidity/salinity and quality of battery. Also using a battery with the proper amount of cold cranking amps is important as well. Check with your local retailer to find the best battery for your vehicle.

What happens if you use a larger car battery then recommended?

If the battery will physically fit there is no problem using a higher capacity battery. Of course the voltage remains 12 Volts but there will a higher amperage available for a longer time should it be needed. This could actually be an advantage if there is ever difficulty starting, there will be more starter cranking time before the battery runs down. Think of it as having a larger gas tank, the gas is the same but there is more if needed.

Could one jump a car battery using a fully charged deep cycle battery?

Do you wish to jump a car with a deep-cycle battery, or do you wish to charge another battery using the deep-cycle battery?

Why will your 2000 s10 not crank when temp below 20 degrees?

"Not crank" as in the starter not cranking the engine over, if the battery cables and connections are clean and tight have the battery tested. Sometimes cold weather will finish off a weak battery. Also, be sure that you are using 5W-30 or 5W-20 oil.

What are the advantages of using a battery operated tea light?

There are many advantages to using a battery operated tea light. They don't leave soot behind, they are often better priced than the original and they do not melt.

What is the lowest voltage for car battery and still be good?

The lowest voltage a battery can drop to during cranking while still starting the car is 9.6v. You can tell a battery's state of charge by the voltage (12.6v is fully charged, 12.0v is low), but the way to tell if a battery is bad is to look at how the voltage changes under load. Most battery testers put a load of half the cold cranking amperage indicated on the battery and look for the voltage to drop below 9.6v, in which case the battery is determined to be bad. Another way to do it at home is to charge the battery at high amperage (can be done by revving the engine slightly and turning off electronics) and, using a voltmeter, look for the voltage to be above 15.5v. This indicates a lower amperage charge than desired and also that the battery should be replaced.
