Montgomery Wards has gone out of business as far as a retail stores, but they opened an online store, but I didn't see any department for tools. The Firm that bought the intellectual part of MW might have the manufacture contact information of your lathe in their system, give them a try.
Wards lathes were made by the Logan company. Logan Actuator is still in business, and still supplies parts for the MW lathe.

The "Power Kraft" line of tools was sold by Montgomery Ward stores. Your lathe was made by the Logan company for Wards. They are fine lathes, far sturdier and more accurate than most of the 'home shop' types, imho. Logan is still in business, and parts are available. Google "Logan lathe" for all the info you'll ever need. hth, Steve edit: the serial number is stamped on the front rail of the bed at the far right end
There are various ways for a lathe to hold its workpiece. The workpiece could be held between centers from the spindle and tail stockIt could be gripped in a chuckA faceplate could be used and the workpiece is screwed, bolted or clamped to it.
Like everything else, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. In excellent condition with lots of 'tooling' like chucks, rests, attachments, extra parts, etc. a nice clean Wards lathe might be worth $1000 or more. A rusty, dirty, neglected or abused old example with no extras and in poor condition? Maybe a hundred bucks......maybe less. hth, Steve
It depends on the brand. A lathe could be supplied with anything from two to seven separate interchangeable gears for thread cutting purposes. If you are asking how many gears a single standard center lathe has in total, the number could exceed fifty.
Knurling tool on a centre lathe.
A lathe is not a lever.
A lathe is not a lever.
By putting it in the Lathe
You could use a plane. You could use a lathe. You could use rasps and files, too.

The definition of a bench lathe is defined as a lathe mounted on a workbench. There is no other meaning for these two words other than a lathe mounted on a workbench.
