There is a restored version for sale, so an 8mm version would have little value unless you can find someone who collects 8mm films.

How is Blondie Chaplin related to Charlie Chaplin?

His middle name was Spencer, and it is not impossible that they were related through some remote link. Alternatively, the name could have come from a servant of the Spencer family. Oliver Cromwell's grandfather changed his name to Cromwell as a gesture of loyalty to his patron Thomas Cromwell. American slaves also used to do this, whether voluntarily or not, I don't know. However, Chaplin is supposed to have been mostly Romany-Jewish, and the name Spencer may have been chosen as an Anglicised version of a foreign name.

He was accused of being a Communist sympathizer. He has gone to London for the worldwide premier of Limelight and was told that the US would not allow him back in the country. He probably could have overturned this but was so disappointed in the US that he chose not to go back.

How much is Charlie Chaplin worth?

Statuettes- usually Bisque or some kind of ceramic- of Mr. Chaplin are a common item in of all things Santeria botanicas. He is in a Black suit with bow tie and bowler hat= and looks both digniified and funny, as Mr. Chaplin did. It is kind of funny to find a statuette (not really a doll) of Charlie Chaplin in with Religious articles- though Chaplain, note spelling is a clerical job title- maybe that:s it Charlie the Chaplain- so it"s a religious article- for some reason he is super-popular with Spanish speaking folks. Silence is golden- in comedy acts, anyhow.
