Absolutely ! I used to do that all the time when I was a CB operator. The only thing is - you must use an ATU to bring the SWR down to usable levels.

Difference between coaxial cable and wave guide?

Waveguides are used at higher frequencies where their loss is lower than coaxial cable. Coaxial cable is used at lower frequencies where waveguides are too large and heavy. Lastly Coaxial cable is also used at higher frequencies where some flexibility is required.

What is the velocity factor for rg58u coaxial cable?

.66 as stated but I calculate a different value when applied to radio frequency at 50 mhz.

What factors determine antenna gain?

It depends upon the type of antenna. For example, a Yagi antenna's gain can be increased by adding elements. A parabolic antenna's gain can be increased by increasing the diameter of the antenna. All antennas can have their gain increased by lowering the loss of the feed line. By replacing regular coaxial cable with nitrogen pressurized coax, the overall gain at the receiving end can be increased. Gain can also be increased by inserting an amplifier between the antenna and the receiver. Another method of increasing gain is to reduce the VSWR, or voltage standing wave ratio.

What cable is not subject to EMI electromagnetic interference and RFI Radio frequency interference?

-- galvanized steel cable -- dyed silk cable -- fiber-optic cable

What is the bending radius of a cable?

Typically, wires have a bend radius of 10 times the diameter of the wire. Measuring the inside. This is basically to prevent injury or changes in impedance at the bend. Also note that the tighter the bend can damage the insulation in coaxial or triaxial cables and cause lower dielectric strength between layers. Best to install cables where ripples don't form on the surface and moderate force is recommended. MIL-W-5088 has more information.

What coaxial cable supports HDTV?

I could be wrong, but I believe you are talking about an HDMI cable. Between the antenna and the TV set use RG6 cable.

What modem uses coaxial cable?

A coaxial cable has great uses in television antenna connections. TV satellite connections also use coaxial cables to connect decoders to the TV set.

You can buy these products, but you could also rig one your self with an old antenna and some coaxial cable.

Technical term for the kind of cable that carries a tv signal?

There are two types of cable used for television radio frequency signals: 300 ohm twin lead flat cable and 75 ohm coaxial cable. The twin lead is typically used with a rabbit ears antenna and coaxial is typically used with roof top antenna or cable TV setups. For television baseband video signals coaxial cables are usually used. However for digital television baseband video signals these are not adequate and special cables (e.g. HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort) are used. These cables are typically many twisted pairs in a common shield.answer is Coaxial cable

What if your tv pictures are double what is wrong?

Sometimes this will happen if you are using a coaxial cable on the antenna and there is a broken connector or even a cut in the cable somewhere.

What is the easiest way to get HDTV from your antenna to your projector?

Coaxial cable, RG6u or RG 59u. The RG6u has less loss for longer cable runs.

Does the tv on the treadmill connect to cable or is it just a dvd player?

The TV has video input in the forms of a coaxial (tv antenna/cable) and RGB inputs.

What is a single cable that carries audio and video information from devices connected to a tv to the tv itself?

The cables that do that are HDMI, Displayport or coaxial cable (antenna) wires.
