He might be missing you, or he might just not be ready to date again yet. Give him time. He might feel awkward talking again as friends after a break up, but I think once he starts dating again, he will be able to have a normal friendly conversation with you. I guess it could either be bad or good news. You could interpert it as good if he missed you. It would be bad news, though, if you found out that he wanted to wait for a while since his relationship with you wan't pleasant. If it wasn't a pleasant one, he may be waiting to heal or waiting to find the right person so hopefully, it won't happen again. I don't know. THese are jut a couple of the possible cases. You could always ask him or one of his friends.
