Open your eyes and ears, sounds like and smells like she is having a full blown affair. I have worked with men and women and get attached to them but we keep our personal lives in check. She told you that he might be her soul mate in another life, well, you have only one sole, many lives, so in essence she is stating she thinks he is her soulmate. She buys him gifts? Does she buy all her co workers gifts? If not for exchanging at the company Christmas party this shouldn't be happening on a personal level. Normally people chip in together for a coworker for other occassions. She was crying because of leaving the company for a promotion, she should be happy for him, if its her friend that he is bettering his life.
