I had a model 139.53674SRT2 which was a few years older but looks identical. When I replaced the unit with yours my old remotes did not work. After calling the sears garage door help line - 800.528.5236, I was informed that my old remotes were not compatible. The compatible remote - serial # 139.53753 was purchased yesterday and works properly.
The batteries differ with different manufactures. The most common remotes take 2 AA batteries. Others can take up to 3 AAA. The best rule is to open the remote controller and check, so that the replacement batteries are correct.
Probably not. At one time a radium compound was used to make watches that glowed in the dark. This is no longer done, and most glow in the dark materials are now simply phosphorescent. The kind that need to be "charged up" by exposure to light and go dark after a few minutes to an hour or so are not radioactive.
Here are the official instructions that came with the device:Lift the cover to access the keypad. Figure 1. Decide on a 4-digit code using numbers 0 to 9. You can use a number more than once (for example, 4, 0, 4, 1).Press the selected code digits on the keypad; then press and HOLD the ENTER button, and press the SRT button on the opener end panel (behind the Control Center for screwdrive), Figure 2. (my note, this is the green button).Depending on your opener model, when you press the SRT button either the opener light(s) will flash or the garage door will begin to move. Release the ENTER button. The opener has now learned the selected code and will respond to future keypad commands. My notes: That is the official instructions. Works similar to a non-keypad transmitter. Unfortunately the green button (SRT) on the back of my opener does not seem to work. It will not clear codes or anythingOn the door opener attached to the ceiling by where the wall button wire attaches there should be a 1/4 inch square GREEN button. Push this and it should stay on or flash. Then push the button on the transmitter. The button on the opener should flash, this means it has recorded the transmitter. For a keypad control, On the door opener attached to the ceiling by where the wall button wire attaches there should be a 1/4 inch square GREEN button. Push this and it should stay on or flash. Once the button is on, you have 30 seconds to enter a 4 digit code in the keypad and touch Enter. The keypad on the key panel control should flash. Enter the 4 digit code again and the door should open/close.
Infrared light has a number of applications. In fact, some animals can sense infrared light, which make it easier to catch prey or to see under poor lighting. Infrared has a number of heating applications, such as being used to cure certain adhesives. There are experiments being done which involve using near IR light to promote healing.Infrared light is what common television remotes use. The signals are modulated in how the IR light is pulsed, so that is how the different buttons on the remote are distinguished. Some other applications include meteorology, communications, climatology, astronomy, art conservation, imaging, and missile guidance, among others.
Rabbits have a natural need to chew and they will chew on anything they can find. I suggest that you provide many toys (Toilet paper rolls, the yellow pages, etc.) for them to chew on instead.

Well if the sterring wheel is in a hard left or right position it will be hard to turn the key now. if there is a problem with the cylinder you will have to take it to your local dealer and have the cylinder and have key and remotes reprogramed
