Rabbits have a natural need to chew and they will chew on anything they can find. I suggest that you provide many toys (Toilet paper rolls, the yellow pages, etc.) for them to chew on instead.

∙ 6y agoRabbits chew on many things because they have to chew. Their teeth are constantly growing and if they don't chew enough, the teeth will elongate and cause significant health problems.
Now, about why rabbits select electrical wires... There are some theories, including
- Rabbits are attracted to the smell of the rubber coating
- Rabbits can hear the buzz of the electricity going through the wire and are attracted to it.
- Rabbits are hard-wired to chew on skinny things that look like twigs
Regardless of the reason, many rabbits will target electrical wires and electrical accessories (chargers, remotes, etc.) If you have a free-roaming pet rabbit, you will need to rabbit-proof your abode. There are many forums and blogs that can provide information on that task.
