The SB60a is the earliest version of the Stevens 620 which both originated from the Stevens 520 and streamlined in the 1930's to the SB60a/620. These are Browning patent guns and John Browning designed the 520 at request from Stevens to have a gun that would compete with Winchester's models 1897 and 12. He designed the 520 in two months and submitted it to Stevens. These are very well-made and smooth operating guns (I have (6) 520's and 620's) and use them in the field regularly. I would guess if yours is in 90% or better condition and not altered in some way it should be in the $175-$250 range for value. In my opinion these guns should carry values similar to the Winchesters they competed with because of their design and workmanship but they don't. I am seeing more collector interest in these fine guns but it going to take awhile for more collectors to research the history.....TRC.
