Where is the O2 sensor on a 1988 F250?

The O2 sensor on a 1988 F250 is not near the engine. Go to the exhaust manifold and down the length. It is near the catalytic converter.

Did the early 1987 F250 extended cab long bed 4WD with the carburated 351 engine with auto trans originally come with a catalytic converter?

Some did and some didn't. I have the same vehicle with dual tanks. If it didn't come with a converter, these are the things to look for. Under the hood there will be a sticker that says no catalytic converter, the filler spout will be oversized for the leaded gas, and there will be no marking under the fuel gauge that say UNLEADED FUEL. All of that no converter.

Looking for a diagram of the catalytic converter - exhaust system on a 1988 f250 the exhaust was customized to have two pipes going into one catalytic converter do you need two for emissions?

Actually it probably wasn't customised. That is how they were made. The two sides go together right at the cat converter. There is a four bolt flange at the interface between the crossover pipes and the cat.

Where are the oxygen sensors on a 1999 F250 V10?

Oxygen sensors are pre catalytic converter and post catalytic converter. This means they are somewhere in the exhaust system. Sometimes in the exhaust manifolds or exhaust pipe right off of the engine for the pre cat and in the exhaust pipe immediately after the converter for the post type. Some vehicles have up to 4, yours has 4.

Does 2006 f250 super duty diesel catalytic converter?

Yes, a 2006 model would have a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, which is not the same as a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). US diesels have had DOCs since ~1994.

Can you gain more power by removing the catalytic converter from a f250 diesel?

you will feel a little more boost but that's about it...its not worth it cuz its highly illegal and if u do it be lucky you don't get caught because its a federal count if you take it off!
