Did Barack Barack Obama migrate

When we think of migration, we often think of moving from one country to another, and Barack Obama's father certainly did that-- his dad (Barack Senior) moved from Kenya to Hawaii to study at the University. Perhaps we could say President Obama migrated when he went to Indonesia, but that was not his choice-- he was five and his mom and new step-dad went to that country to live. He stayed there for four years before returning to Hawaii. Mostly, Barack Obama spent the majority of his life in the United States-- first in Hawaii, and then he moved temporarily to several other states (California, New York, Massachusetts) to go to college; and he also moved to Illinois for work. But I am not sure the word "migrate" would apply to going from one state to another.
