Yes,

Buddha is not considered a God. Buddha is to Hinduism as Jesus is to Christianity. Gautama Buddha was born a Hindu, but tried to reform Hinduism.Buddhism has been referred to as Hinduism lite for that reason. Buddha founded Buddhism in India, but it is much more popular in China than India where Hinduism is still the dominant religion.

Hindus actually only believe in one god, Brahma, but they believe that Brahma has many faces. The fact that they have names for the many faces of Brahma leads to misunderstandings and is one of the reasons for conflicts with Muslims.

Gautama Buddha's original name was Siddhartha.

By birth he was a Hindu and till he reached an age of 35 years he was a Hindu.

At that age he attained enlightenment and came to be known as Buddha and started Buddhism.

Thus, theoretically, Buddha didn't practice Hinduism.

However, Since Buddhism is indistinguishable from the central part of Hinduism, Hindus consider Buddha as a Hindu only.

In fact, some Hindus consider Buddha as the ninth incarnation of Vishnu.

However, Buddhists claim that Buddhism is a totally different religion.

There is probably no specific term for those who disbelieve only in Hindu gods, but who knows, somebody somewhere might use such a word. The term for someone who does not believe in any god -- and so disbelieves in Hindu gods along with all other gods -- is "atheist".
