After contacting Sir David Jason's agents, I can confirm that there is absolutely no truth in these rumours. Mr Jason has not been baptized as a Witness, and is not a Witness.
Plus, I have contacted London Bethel, the UK headquarters of Witnesses and they confirm that there were no baptisms on Sunday at Plymouth, the rumoured location and day of his baptism. This is an urban myth.
He studies with witnesses, but he is not a baptised member.

Jehovah's Witnesses DO call themselves Christian. They acknowledge they are a Christian religion and are baptised in Christ's name. Most secular authorities recognise Jehovah's Witnesses as a Christian denomination.

jehovah's wittnesses confirm/get baptised wheenever they as a person feel ready. they are not forced into anything.
Jehovah's witnesses charge no fees or costs for 1 to be baptised. But someone who is ready for baptism (who has studies the bible with Jehovah's witnesses, and for themselves) and who has applied scriptual council... etc. And truly understands what it means to serve Jehovah are baptised... free of charge.
Witnesses are not christened. Baptism is done at an age when the person understands that they are making a life choice, based on the fact that Jesus was 30 when he was baptised. We don't christen babies as they are unable to say whether they want to be part of the faith or not. Baptism takes place at large gatherings called conventions where full immersion takes place in public. Generally Witnesses get baptised in their teens.
I have done some research and can find no indication that Danny himself was ever actually baptised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was raised in a Witness household, but to be considered an active Witness by the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, each person has to decide for himself that is what he wants to do, and take appropriate steps to identify himself as a Witness of Jehovah, includng being baptised, which confirms his place in the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. I see no indication that he has done that, only that his parent(s) are (or were) Jehovah's Witnesses.
Supposedly she was raised going to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Whether she is a baptised, active member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is unknown. It is important to note that Jehovah's Witnesses is an active faith, so if a person is not actively engaged in the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses, they are not considered JW's by the congregation. Only baptised, active members are counted as JW's.
I do not believe Nelson Eddy was aver a Witness, when you consider his work load. He colapsed on the stage on his last singing assingment while in his advanced years. I cant recall him ever declaring openly that he was ever an active Witnesses. No none came forwarsd to arrange his funeral at his local Kingdom Hall. The one stand that he did make was to refuse to serve in the armed forces. I believe he was once an interested person, but never became a dedicated baptised Witness.
