While there are many who believe in a literal interpretation of everything in Genesis, the question must be asked, "When/why did God STOP talking to men?" I believe that God never literally verbalizes to humans but He probably often does give us messages through visions, dreams, sudden ideas, and even that little thing called our conscience (ie., guilt trips), etc.
